This original and very unique bracelet is more than jewelry or an accessory item; it is a wearable work of art.

As a fan of the nontraditional, statement jewelry, I am always on a quest to create items that push the limits, that are unexpected and unusual, but that at the same time remain classically elegant and beautiful. This cuff is an expression of this search.

I was inspired by the eternal miracle that is nature while working with several dimensions, making use of different shapes, textures, and colors.

The bracelet was made entirely by hand using polymer clay. I used a blank brass cuff bracelet as a base which I ‘clothed’ in a layer of polymer clay. The upper, decorative part of the bracelet is also made out of polymer clay. Each butterfly was molded separately before arranging them together. I used mica powders before ‘washing’ the cuff with clear gloss to protect it from external conditions.

The cuff you see here has been sold. Sequent bracelets will be similar, but given the complex work involved in its making, I cannot replicate it.

This is a luxurious cuff bracelet that requires the use of a ready-made blank brass cuffs as support. Store brass cuffs tend to vary in size - the average size is 6 1/2'' to 7''. If your wrist much smaller or larger than that, I would recommend not placing an order for this cuff.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Polymer clay

Polymer clay is a relatively new material. It is sold in blocks with a soft consistency similar to play-dough, but once cured, the clay hardens. Depending on clay brand, type of design, and processing, it can be very hard or semi-flexible. Most of the items in my collection such as cuffs and bib necklaces are semi-flexible so they are easy to put on. They are light and comfortable to wear, but quite sturdy. A polymer clay item can of course break, but I use a technique that makes them stronger and more resistant than what you can usually purchase.

Care instructions

My polymer clay items are finished with acrylics, mica powders, and other materials after being cured, and are coated with clear gloss to protect them. In the titles you will see described the colors of the items. A piece described as a copper polymer clay item is not made of copper, it is crafted of polymer clay so as to resemble copper in appearance.
Care is easy. Simply wipe the item with a damp cloth and let dry.

Sizing details

All items, except cuffs that use blanks as support, can be customized, usually at no further cost.

Estimated time of shipping

Many of my items are made to order, except one-of-a-kind listings. None of my items is mass produced, manufactured or for resale (as it is the case of many Etsy shops). Handmade work requires time, effort, and a lot of love and hence there is a wait time of 2 to 3 weeks. All one-of-a-kind items are ready to ship in 1 to 3 days.
Thank you very much for your interest and understanding!

Earrings wires

I purchase all my earring wires from craft stores. They are nickel-free, but are not specifically listed as hypoallergenic. These earring wires may not be the best option for you if you have very sensitive ears.

I can replace earring hooks with earring clip-ons if requested in advance.

Photos

All photos are taken by me. I am not a photographer so generally these fall short of representing the beauty of the real item. Also colors, though very close to reality, may differ in shade and luminosity.

Transfer image copyright

In my collection you will find several image transfer technique items which were created using my own image transfer technique, but with images that are not my own. In this case, copyright is clearly stated and items were created according to the copyright owner's policy. This allows me to use their image for personal and small commercial use, up to 150 times each item, as long as the image is used for tangible items and is not resold as is.
